Sermon Synopsis – July 6th 2025
Luke 10:1-11
In Luke 10:1–11, Jesus sends out seventy-two disciples—not just the Twelve—signifying that the mission of God is for everyone. It’s a wake-up call to the whole Church: we are all sent to proclaim the Kingdom, together, boldly, and without delay.
This sermon challenges the apathy that plagues today’s Church, especially in the West, where faith has become optional, seasonal, or privatized. The truth is sobering:
Christianity is always one generation away from extinction. If we don’t live out our calling to be sent—if we don’t pass on the faith, share the Gospel, and embody Christ’s love— the Church will wither, not from persecution, but from neglect.
Jesus doesn’t sugarcoat the cost: it’s a risky path. But to risk nothing is to do nothing, be nothing, and become nothing. So let’s rise, Church—with faith, urgency, and courage.
The world is waiting.
Let us respond: Here I am, Lord. Send me.
