July 22, 2026
I cannot believe how fast summer is going by. It is almost August and as a retired teacher, I know that “August 1st” feeling. Today, as I write this, it is pouring cats and dogs outside. As I listen to the rhythm of the falling rain (sorry, I could not resist) I rejoice at how nature is replenishing our lawns and gardens. I feel like this is a “snow day” where I do not have do any work in the garden and I have more free time to do with what I want. I hope that you have all found some free time and are putting it to good use. Read a book, do some baking or just sit by a window or on your covered porches and watch the rain fall.
Deuteronomy 28:12: “The Lord will open to you his good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.”
Leviticus 26:4: “I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce…”
Job 37:6: “He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”

A Summer Devotional Update (June 16):
A new edition of These Days (July/August/September), as well as the current edition of Our Daily
Bread (June/July/August) are available on the table in the church vestibule and in the devotional box on the church porch.
Common Scents
Please be advised that our church has a scent-free protocol. It seems that some of our dear parishioners feel unwell due to heavy floral smells. Please be considerate of those in our congregation who are affected by strong smells and odors and refrain from perfumes or colognes when coming to worship on Sunday mornings. Thank you one and all.
Lemonade for Fellowship Time
Effective June 14 we will be serving lemonade at the Fellowship time after worship. If you are so inclined to donate a box or 2 of cookies to help cover the summer months, it would be very much appreciated. Please give your donations to Kathy or Susan so that we can store them safely during the summer months. Many thanks to those who have already donated.
September Bible Study
Jacob Birch from the Canadian Bible Society will be leading an 8-week bible study beginning on Tuesday, September 15 at 12:15. He will be offering an overview of the bible from Genesis all the way to Revelations.
Mark this in your calendars as it should prove to be a fascinating journey through the Bible.
