My relationship with the Bible has not always been a knowledgeable one. Growing up I went to Sunday school and learned about all the special stories that are taught to children, but these were isolated and lacked the history that preceded and followed them. I wasn’t very keen on going to “grown up” church when I aged out of Sunday school. I just did not understand what the minister was talking about. Yet, when I moved to Toronto and began to attend church after a few years’ hiatus I still had not connected the dots. It was not until Stephen Dunkin introduced The Story that I was able to really know what lay between the covers of the Bible. It was like the window had been opened and the light shone through. I am not bragging that I know the Bible inside and out, but I like to consider this a lifelong work in progress. (even though I have read through the whole book…TWICE)
That is why I am looking forward to the Bible Study that is being presented starting this Tuesday at 12:15. It will be interesting to hear, perhaps, a different perspective or interpretation. It will be a very good review of what I gleaned from The Story. I encourage you all to sign up and be part of this event. We could all do with a brush up.
Thank you, Stephen Dunkin for starting me on this road and thank you to Rebekah, and Eric for continuing to illuminate this wonderful book for me.

Common Scents
Please be advised that our church has a scent-free protocol. It seems that some of our dear parishioners feel unwell due to heavy floral smells.
