Download the PDF As we approach our country’s special day, I would just like to express my love for this great country in whichwe live. After graduation from McGill, I had the opportunity to camp across this vast land. My friend and Istarted in Montreal, and we travelled all the way to Victoria, BC. Download the PDF As I write this today, I am thoroughly enjoying the slightly cooler temperature. Walking the dog was very enjoyable as was working in the garden and yes, you guessed it, power washing the never-ending patio. It was truly enjoyable sleeping with the windows open. The house smelled of fresh air and had lost that stuffy closed in aroma. I am thankful for this small thing. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you…

Download the PDF June 3, 2026Well it seems that we have gotten a reprieve from the rainy weather. While not terribly hot yet, it has been very comfortable the last few days. This has given me lots of time to attend to tasks outside that needed doing. The first big task was power washing the back patio and the deck surrounding the pool. It is a messy task and has not been done for many years. So, I marked off…

Download the PDF May 6, 2026 Celebrating mums in the Bible who struggled, just like us Words by FIONA TEH When my colleague raised the brilliant idea of looking to mums in the Bible as we celebrate Mother’s Day, I didn’t think it was going to go this way. But reviewing the list of women I could feature, it quickly became obvious that many mothers in the Bible had it bad. I’m glad the Bible records these stories. It can otherwise be easy…

I remember my childhood Easters. More often than not it was the time when boots no longer had to be worn. That feeling of freedom from heavy boots is very fondly remembered. It felt like my feet and legs could fly unencumbered. It was also the first time when…
