Aug. 26, 2026
How exciting this week has been. Activities and meetings are being scheduled, and it is so refreshing to see the September calendar of events fill up. It gives my heart joy to see how active our church is and how busy we will be thanks to the people and organizations that are using our church. Sing! Etobicoke is coming back and Kento has come up with some creative sessions. ( See schedule below) He has had to change the day of these sessions to Tuesdays instead of Thursdays and that makes for a very busy day for Graceview. Sing! Etobicoke will begin at 9:30. Every month Elaine’s Craft Club will begin their session at 11:00 in the Adamson Lounge and come September, the Bible Study group will be in there at 12:15. Add to that a Session Meeting every other month on…you guessed it… Tuesdays. It seems that Tuesdays are like one big jigsaw puzzle with all the pieces fitting in seamlessly (I hope). Might I dare to suggest that any other groups who want to use our church for a meeting or a club perhaps could consider another day of the week?
It seems that the lazy hazy crazy days of summer are coming to an end, and the liturgical life of our church will soon take hold. Before we know it we will be into Thanksgiving and then Advent and then Christmas! When you think of Fall as being a time when things are dying and getting ready for hibernation over the long, cold days of winter, our Graceview is coming to life with lots of hustle and bustle. (especially on Tuesdays).

Acts 2:42: Describes the early active church as devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of
bread, and prayer.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
