Lynne’s Journey through Holy Week- a Reflection from the Operating Room

At the start of Holy Week Lynne was in a lot of pain which got gradually worse as the week progressed.

She needed to be taken to the emergency where she was diagnosed with a life threatening blockage in her abdomen.    On Maundy Thursday, she had an operation to remove the blockage. It was urgent, because she could have died.

On Friday she had another operation to have her gallbladder removed.

It was Good Friday evening. The hospital was already getting a lot less busy. She was wheeled to the operating area where she was the only one there.

She was put on the operating table with both arms stretched out and tied down.  On Good Friday on the operating table, she was a picture of the cross.

On Holy Saturday she was recovering. Quiet, but still  in a lot of pain.

On Easter Sunday she was told to get up and start walking.   As Lynne journeyed Holy Week, we felt so strongly that God was there walking with her every step along the way.
