Remembrance
Forever young, in Flanders field they lie,
In peace in silent seas, on foreign shore,
In place with name unknown, in land unseen.
And we, perhaps forgetting, walk on by
Their sad memorials, and think no more
Of lives now passed, and lives that might have been.
In park and green and village marketplace
They stand, these ageing monuments – and we
Look past the loving tributes carved thereon
And never slack or slow our hurried pace
To call to mind the fading memory
Of these young men, much missed, though now long gone.
So let us now, at least, some moments take
To read the names of honoured dead, long lost
To grieving parents, children, sweethearts, wives,
The names of men who never more will wake,
Who bought us – at what sad and painful cost –
Our freedom, and indeed our very lives.

Chuka & Koko’s wedding
What a lovely wedding we celebrated on Friday, Oct. 31st. For those of you who were unable to attend, here are some photos of the lovely couple as they exchanged vows. It was so nice to be involved in this, and I would like to thank Chuka and Koko for opening up this event to Graceview congregants.
GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP 2026 March 14–22, 2026 (Tentative)
Called to Serve. Changed Forever.
You are invited to take part in a transformative short-term mission experience to Guatemala during March Break 2026. Sponsored by the Presbytery of West Toronto, this trip continues a vibrant legacy of partnership, discipleship, and mutual growth in faith.
Whether you’re youth, adult, or senior—if you’re willing to serve and be shaped, there’s a place for you on the team.
Why Guatemala?
Since 2017, POWT churches have journeyed to Guatemala to:
- Share God’s love with children, families, and vulnerable communities.
- Worship and serve alongside local churches and ministries.
- Learn from resilient believers with joyful, generous faith.
- Return home with renewed purpose and a deeper walk with Christ.
In past trips, teams have served at orphanages, schools, women’s shelters, disability care centers, and small congregations. Locations and activities for 2026 will be finalized in due course.
Who Can Join?
- Youth (Grade 7–12), adults, and healthy seniors
- Members of any church within the Presbytery of West Toronto
- No Spanish required—just a servant heart
“Dios te ama.” – “God loves you.”
A simple phrase that has brought smiles and tears in every place we’ve visited.
Mission Leadership Team
Rev. Young Cho, Rev. Julio Miranda, Rev. Eric Lee (Subject to change) Team size would be limited to a maximum of 20 participants.

The remaining cost will be covered through Presbytery grants and team-based fundraising efforts.
The payment schedule, group preparation meetings, and fundraising activities will begin after the team

WEEKLY GIGGLE
Where One or Two are Gathered
A farmer turns up to evensong and discovers that he and the new vicar are the only people there.
“What shall we do?” asks the vicar.
“Well,” replies the farmer, “If I go to feed my sheep and only one turns up, I feed her.”
So, after four hymns, 2 sung canticles, one sung psalm, two lessons, prayers for everything under the sun and a twenty-minute sermon, the service ends.
“So, how did I do?” the vicar asked the farmer.
“Well, if I goes to feed my sheep and only one turns up, I feeds her,” he said, “but I don’t give her the whole bag full!”
